Introduction Preliminary task and Action Plan for Preliminary task

Before I start the main task, I first will complete the preliminary task, which is to produce the front page of a new school or college magazine which will feature a photograph of a student in medium close-up and some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionally I must produce a mock-up of the layout of the contents page.

Action Plan for Preliminary task

Week One- Research and Planning

·      Set up blog

·      Put action plan on blog

·      Blog post on the generic conventions of a student/college magazine

·      Textual analysis of a student magazine

·      Blog post on initial ideas for student magazines

·      Research target audience and post this on blog

·      Experiment with colour scheme/fonts and post this on my blog

·      Produce a mock front cover and contents page and post on blog.

Week 2-Production

·      Organise and take photos for magazine

·      Complete the front cover and post this on my blog

·      Begin designing contents page

Week 3-Production

·      Complete design of contents page

·      Do evaluation

Week 4

·      DEADLINE
